We do not see or store your full card details. Payments are handled securely by our payment providers.
WHY WE COLLECT IT
To process and deliver your order and to send order confirmations and delivery updates. To send you news about the book, such as launch updates and behind-the-scenes content, if you have signed up for them. To reply to your messages. To keep the site working properly, and to understand how it is used so we can improve it.
OUR LEGAL BASIS
To fulfil your order, we process your information because it is necessary to carry out our contract with you. To send marketing emails, we rely on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time. For running and improving the site, we rely on our legitimate interests, or on your consent where cookies require it.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We only share your information with the services we need to run the business: Wix.com, which hosts this website and stores our customer and order records. Wix Payments and PayPal, to take payments. Royal Mail, to deliver your order (they receive your name and address). Where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Order records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax purposes (currently up to 6 years). Email signups are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
Emails and marketing
If you sign up, we will email you about the book. Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also email info@thewaitisover.uk at any time to be removed.
